Forensic Toxicology

Dr. Nachman Brautbar specializes in forensic toxicology and internal medicine aspects of injury in the workplace, product liability, and standard of care. Forensic toxicology is essentially the analysis of drugs, alcohol and poisons in the body fluids and the interpretation of those results which are typically used in a court of law. In general, forensic toxicology is a specialty area of chemical, physiological and analytical data. The use of forensic toxicology is paramount to the outcome of a legal case as it uses the science of "toxicology" to present hard evidence to the court system. "Toxicology" is defined as the science of unfavorable effects on living organisms.
